So true. Anywhere else in the country there is still some prestige that comes with being a lawyer (even with all the jokes). Here in DC, however, I’m almost embarrassed to admit what I do for a living.
On my law school web site it says 1 out of every 10 people in DC is a lawyer. hehe, yes i go to one of the like 10 law schools in DC. jk not really sure how many…..

I dunno, we’ll give DC a run for its money here in Delaware. One Philadelphia attorney was quoted in the newspaper saying, “You can’t swing a dead cat in Wilmington without hitting a bankruptcy lawyer.” See: http://www.philly.com/philly/business/20081214_Nation_s_bankruptcy_capital_still_growing.html

just the other day i overheard two of my law profs complaining about going to parties in DC because the parties will be a room full of 30 lawyers.
