This cartoon is RACIST.
Yeah…the squirrel has to be black…racist
This make sense to anybody?
This courtoon is racist. (Thirdsies!)
Hahhahaah I love it!
Has a small child taken over Courtoons?
Jason, it’s about the SCOTUS case that Sotomeyer (sp?) heard about New Haven firefighters and reverse discrimination.
Lately the toons have absolutely sucked.
I have to say, I am addicted to courttoons and absolutely love them most the time, but this squirrel and turtle character arc can’t even bring a smirk to my face.
And of all the good jokes that could’ve come from Ricci…
Why the turtle and the squirrel? Why??
The animals are generally not funny. There is humor in this one, but it has nothing to do with the characters.
I hope Courtoons doesn’t become just about them.
Yeah i understand that its about the white firefighter case, but I didn’t understand the freak of nature response…is it because the white firefighter was dyslexic?
Jason – I assumed the freak of nature response had to do with the fact that black squirrels are fairly common while a white turtle would be an albino (aka – not normal)
Either way…its pretty soft hitting.
This Courtoons really is racist David. First you have a black squirrel and then you expect the black squirrel to have a different opinion on the white firefighter case simply because he is black? Thereby rendering the principle that the views of black ‘squirrels’ are seen through the racial lens. And then to rub it in, you go on to say that the turtle (who is narrow minded for asking such a question) should be black too! And that too from the mouth of the black squirrel!! What’s next David? The Squirrel staying up late all night researchng upon his class action suit brought by the poisoning of fried chicken while he coolly slurps his grape juice? Someone call the NAACP. This Courtoon is RACIST!
